R/H Autumn
The world of retail is changing and we at R/H see this as a positive challenge and as an opportunity to develop. The year 2019 has been full of changes for R/H. In January we announced that we are taking steps to become more transparent and sustainable actor by switching our cotton to GOTS certified organic cotton and our packaging materials to recycled plastic. This Autumn we are also changing our online store’s packaging materials to biodegradable packages – even the glue and print are approved for food-industry! We are also in the process of changing our collection strategy to a more sustainable practice. We want to move from the traditional seasonal collections to creating continuous collections with drops of newness. We want to be smart with what we produce and limit the size of inventory to create a more sustainable R/H fashion cycle. We want to offer seasonless pieces that you will love forever.
This Autumn/Winter is the first season we are introducing this new collection cycle. Last week we introduced the first part which is the MIKKO & R/H collaboration. The collaboration collection is centred around the artist Pyhimys alias Mikko Kuoppala, and we wanted to do something we have never done before. The black and white collection is a step away from the typical colourful world of R/H and for the first time we created a non-abstract print. The profile drawing of Mikko was drawn by pencil by R/H Head of Design, Hanna Riiheläinen. We strived to create something new, something unseen and even a bit uncool – something exceptional.
Later this Autumn we will be presenting a few smaller capsule collections, bringing back the Bobi Coat family with a new member, and finally releasing the sought-after R/H Kids collection. R/H Classics (Mickey, Magic & Debbie) will always be in stock and available throughout the year.
We are super excited for the coming Autumn and these changes – we hope you are too! ❤️
