Care Guide
It’s important for R/H to create clothing that is not only easy to wear but also easy to take care of. We strive to find the best materials with the environment in our mind. The whole alpha and omega in clothing maintenance is to follow the care instructions – this way your clothes will last as long as possible.
REFRESHING GENERAL CARE INSTRUCTIONS
We always recommend our customers to think about the environment and wash clothes only when needed. For the most part, airing the clothing outside is enough to keep it fresh and this method doesn’t wear out the fabric. It will also reduce your carbon footprint!
We highly recommend steaming your clothes – just hang your clothes and place them in the bathroom while you shower. You can also use a garment steamer if you have one. Steam reduces dirt and unwanted smells and also will give a nice newish fresh look to your garments.
CHOOSE THE RIGHT WASHING TEMPERATURE
We recommend lowering the washing temperature. Today's detergents and washing machines wash your clothes just as well at lower temperatures, which also saves energy. Remember to always check the correct washing temperature on the garment's care label. The garment can be damaged if it is washed at too low or too high a temperature.
WASHING
We recommend removing stains immediately with, for example, environmentally friendly bile soap. Our jersey garments can also be washed alone for the first time, not with other black clothing so that no excess dye comes from elsewhere. For delicate materials, like wool or silk, we recommend hand-washing with detergent, which is recommended to use with such fragile materials.
We do not recommend soaking our clothing or using a detergent for white laundry, because it may gray out the white color. Please lift the clothes immediately from the washing machine to a rope or hanger.
RECYCLING
If at some point you are ready to give up your R/H item, put it in circulation as a second hand or donate it to someone/somewhere. We also know that R/H clothes are in great demand at many flea markets and second hand sites such as Emmy, Tori and Relove .
